The next skyscraper to take its place in the forest of towers that make up Streeterville has an official groundbreaking date. It’s next Tuesday, September 20th.
465 North Park is being developed by MetLife, Allstate, and Jupiter Realty Company; and designed by Pappageorge Haymes. Its owners promise it will be “the most luxurious rental apartment community in Chicago.”
When completed in the first half of 2018, it will have 444 apartments across 48 floors, plus a 30,000 square-foot indoor/outdoor common floor.
As you can see in the photograph below, taken just hours ago by Joe Zekas of YoChicago!, construction is already well underway, with what appears to be an elevator core at a jaunty angle to the Chicago street grid. This is because the building was designed as three overlapping ovals, so expect angles and curves out the wazoo with this one.
