The F.C.M. Building is just one block from the Midwest Googleplex at 1K Fulton; and since the new majority of people who work in the immediate vicinity are more likely to purchase black turtlenecks and $35 re-releases of 80’s vinyl than sides of beef, it makes sense to redevelop this property.
Construction will be done by local retail construction frequent flyer LG. The conductor of the construction orchestra is Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture, which is kind of a shame. Not that we have anything against HPA. It’s just that FitzGerald Associates‘ headquarters is, quite literally, across the street from this project.
